Jay has led agency research at Gartner for Marketers since 2015. Prior to coming to Gartner for Marketers, he spent nearly twenty years on the agency side in a variety of strategy, insights, and social media marketing roles.
In his role at Gartner, Jay works with senior marketing leaders on agency selection, roster management, and cost optimization. He also works with agency clients by providing objective advice on new business strategy, agency positioning, and messaging, using Gartner for Marketers’ proprietary CMO research and insights.
Most recently, Jay was the chairperson for Gartner’s Marketing Symposium/Xpo, and led the recently published 2020-2021 CMO Strategic Priorities Survey. He continues to lead Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies, published annually.
