Biography
Prior to beginning his entrepreneurial journey in 2003, Ahmad was Vice President, Account Director at Leo Burnett, where he oversaw the development and implementation of the agency’s successful Effie Award-winning “Army of One” campaign. The “Army of One” campaign was one of the first initiatives to utilize broadcast television to drive traffic to the web in an effort to engage consumers with long-format branded digital content. Yet another example of Ahmad being ahead of the trends and blazing a trail that others have followed.
Ahmad began his professional career honing his skills at NIKE, where he served in a variety of sales and marketing capacities working on one of the most powerful Brands in the world.
Ahmad has been inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
He was also named among Crain’s Chicago Business ‘Top 40 under 40′ list of business-people leading in their respective areas. His companies have won numerous industry awards including being named Ad Age Small Agency of the year His work has won a litany of industry awards including Effies for driving best in class business results.
Ahmad is a native of Springfield, Ohio and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology from Miami (OH) University and a Master of Science degree in Sports Marketing from West Virginia University.
He balances his zeal for his craft with a deep commitment to his children, Gabriel and Selena. Ahmad and his family spend a great deal of time advocating for autism awareness. The Islam family established Gabriel’s Horn, a foundation dedicated to advocacy and awareness for minority families impacted by Autism.
